Facilities Supervisor (1444)

About the Team

Our Facilities team are one of the many teams that keep our business running smoothly.  A key cog to the Plymouth office, the team ensures we have a great office environment to work in and all the facilities we need to be successful.  From workplace services to building operations and compliance, the team keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

About the role

As Facilities Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth running of our Plymouth office and support a small facilities team in delivering a first-class service.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people management with operational delivery. You'll help coordinate a wide range of facilities services, including mail and reprographics, archiving, security and access control, ensuring colleagues and visitors receive a professional and seamless experience.

You'll play an important role in planning and prioritising workloads, supporting team development and wellbeing, and helping to maintain high standards across the workplace.  We're also looking for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement. Whether it's enhancing service delivery, improving processes or contributing to workplace projects, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the colleague and visitor experience.

About you

You'll have experience working within a facilities, workplace or office services environment and be confident coordinating multiple priorities in a busy operational setting. Ideally, you'll already have experience supervising a team, but just as importantly, you'll be someone who leads by example, builds strong relationships and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You'll bring a strong understanding of health and safety within the workplace and be comfortable using facilities management systems and technology to monitor activities, manage compliance records and support operational reporting. An IOSH Managing Safely qualification would be beneficial, although we're equally happy to support you in achieving this.

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and solutions-focused. You'll enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders, from colleagues and building management teams to contractors and suppliers, and you'll be able to build trusted relationships that help deliver outstanding service.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who thrives in a varied environment, remains calm under pressure and is motivated by creating a workplace that is safe, efficient and enjoyable for everyone.

To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:

  • Facilities or administration experience gained in a professional services environment
  • Experience managing multiple workloads simultaneously
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft packages
