IT Trainer (1198)

We're currently looking for a Learning Technology Specialist to join our IT team on a full-time, permanent basis to help deliver our Modern Workplace strategy.

This role is based in Newcastle and falls under our hybrid working policy. We would ask that you reside close enough to our office location so that you can visit a few days a week as per current working practices.

The team

First-class IT systems are absolutely key to the success of any business in today's commercial world and the legal sector is no exception. Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP prides itself on being at the forefront of technological advancements within the legal profession, something we've become well known for. To remain competitive in our markets, and to continue supporting our growth strategies, our team of dedicated IT professionals have a key role to play, ensuring the integrity of the IT infrastructure, development of new and existing systems and excellent support to all of our employees, and clients.

The role

Reporting to the Learning Technologies Team lead, this position will see you facilitate change by delivering IT training while supporting the Firm's objectives where you will play a pivotal role in onboarding and developing our staff across all locations. This multifaceted position involves scheduling, delivering, and supporting IT training during employee inductions via virtual training rooms, as well as conducting group and one-on-one sessions. You'll design and host engaging webinars through MS Teams, liaise with subject matter experts to curate compelling training materials, and ensure all IT systems are thoroughly documented.

You'll manage and promote our Learning Management System and create video-based eLearning resources, maintain our IT Training SharePoint page, and coordinate user groups to streamline feedback between end-users and the IT/Project teams. Collaborating with the Service Desk, you'll produce concise “Genius Bytes” guides, monitor course feedback through MS Forms, and contribute to IT project rollouts through targeted training and communications. You'll also provide application support as part of ITIL service processes and help shape future training strategies in close partnership with the team leader.

If you're a creative communicator with a passion for empowering others through technology, we'd love to hear from you.

What we are looking for?

We're open to different industry backgrounds, so you do not necessarily need to have worked within the legal sector.  What's most important is your approach, attitude and ability to communicate your ideas and contribute to improving the future direction of our IT Training journey.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with diverse audiences and producing clear, concise materials. Exceptional organisational abilities will support the smooth delivery of training sessions and the effective management of resources and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful for this position you will have:

  • Ability and drive to deliver IT Training.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows and O365.
  • Previous experience of designing and creating training material
