Learning & Development Administrator (1187)

Our firm and the Learning & Development Team

As a firm, we are committed to offering development opportunities that enable our people to deliver excellence to our clients and fulfil their potential.  We offer exciting training programmes and other career development support to enhance skills and expertise, and this is where our team comes in.

We design and deliver high quality virtual and in person programmes for our lawyers, Private Wealth specialists, Business Support professionals and Executive Services Team.  Our goal is to create an environment in which our people feel confident in their roles and have a stretching and rewarding career with us.  We lead on a wide range of personal skills, business skills and career development initiatives, as well as the overall L&D strategy and organisational change projects.

The role

You'll be at the heart of our team and central to all training-related administration. This will include liaising with internal delegates and external training providers, ensuring information and pre-reading material is circulated in advance, and dealing calmly and efficiently with any last-minute changes.

You'll be working with various systems and spreadsheets to capture, analyse, and distribute L&D information, and ensure that our record-keeping and reporting is accurate.  And where possible, you'll develop these systems to improve their effectiveness.

There is a large amount of diary management and planning in this role too, so you'll need to keep up-to-speed with all the elements of our training programmes, and support our lead trainers to ensure the smooth running of training events.  You'll also play a key administration role in our career development processes.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with exceptional organisational skills in the first instance.  Attention to detail is key in this role as you'll be managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and you'll need some previous experience in a busy and fast-paced administrative role but we're open-minded about how you have developed that experience.

You'll also need to be an excellent communicator with a professional and confident style, both in your written and verbal communication, and comfortable conversing with people at all levels across our firm.

Given that much of your role will be spent liaising with internal colleagues and external providers, an ability to build relationships is also essential.  We're a friendly and supportive team, and it's really important to us that you share in that.

We work with some fantastic people, we enjoy what we do, and we strive to make sure that our people feel supported to perform at their best and contribute to the success of our business.

To be successful in this role, as a minimum you'll need:

  • One year's experience in an admin or PA role
  • Good IT skills and proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience of managing multiple deadlines and priorities
  • The ability to plan and organise effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confidence to build professional relationships quickly

As a team, we use hybrid working to ensure that we work flexibly to suit the needs of our business, so we're looking for someone who will be comfortable with this approach and willing to come into our Bristol Office for a minimum of 3 days each week.
