It's no secret that we're an ambitious firm and our vision and our culture truly reflects that.  At the heart of this is an outstanding client experience, something that Womble Bond Dickinson prides itself on, and it's something that we've become so well known for.  We believe it's what will support the growth of our business, allow us to do rewarding and profitable work and create a sustainable business for our people. Central to all of this are our very talented lawyers, but they couldn't achieve their results without the ongoing support from our Paralegals who have an essential role to play in growing the business and maintaining efficient and cost effective service delivery on behalf of our lawyers and clients.

Our dedicated Legal Solutions Centre, are now on the lookout for some more Paralegals to join them on a fixed term contract of six months in either our Plymouth or Bristol office.  This multi-disciplinary team deliver innovative, market leading legal support to the lawyers across our business in the Real Estate, Commercial Disputes, Corporate and Commercial practice groups in high volume processing activities. You'll have an opportunity to work on a range of cases and as cliché though it may be, no two days are the same. Here's some of the projects you could find yourself working on:

Commercial Disputes:  The team act on behalf of leading utilities, infrastructure and retail organisations providing a comprehensive recoveries and dispute resolution service.  Your role will see you working on a range of debt recovery matters producing pre-action letters, issuing, executing and completing claims through the County Court, enforcing Judgment Orders where necessary, drafting Statutory Demands, issuing Bankruptcy and Winding Up Proceedings in addition to dealing with strategic resolution of litigated consumer claims brought against our client.

Insurance:  You'll be responsible for handling insurance claims such as property damage, employers liability and professional negligence claims. These are often high volume and will involve you speaking with our clients on a regular basis.

So what are we looking for?

We aren't just looking for people with a background in law or legal qualifications. Our people bring a very broad range of experience and skills and you'll be no different.  What's most important to us is that you're able to provide the highest level of customer / client experience in a fast paced environment, will take ownership and use initiative, demonstrate excellent time management and self-motivation with proven forward planning skills whilst with the ability to prioritise. You must also have good communication skills, numeracy and literature skills, and experience of using IT software such as Microsoft Excel and Word. You'll have a strong team-working ethic and a readiness to adapt to an ever changing environment.

What's in it for you?

We know that it's not all about us.  You'll want to be assured that this is the right opportunity for you and we really believe that this is a fantastic place to work.  You'll be joining a supportive team where you can learn from true leaders in their field and build your experience with access to great quality work and great clients. Supported by a collegiate approach, and firm wide commitment to paralegal development there are fewer better places to develop your legal career.
