Plot Sales Paralegal (1106)

Our Residential Housebuilding team is one of the largest of its kind.  Working with many major housebuilders, residential developers and housing clients our work is diverse and always of the highest quality.  We support our clients in a range of projects from major urban mixed-use developments to green field new settlements, and our expertise in the sector, coupled with our approach to client service means that we are rated as the premier team in Newcastle by both clients and the legal directories.

The team are now looking for a Plot Sales Paralegal to join them based out of our Newcastle office. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, busy team where you'll play an integral part in the delivery of some of the UK's most exciting residential developments for premier clients such as housebuilders.

What will you be doing?

In this busy team you'll be responsible for managing your own caseload, primarily handling files for plot sales.  Dealing with all aspects of the plot sales process, including liaising with Buyers' conveyancers and developer clients with a view to progressing the file to exchange, replying to enquiries, exchange, completion, administrating all documentation which may be required and post completion formalities.  

So what are we looking for?

Ideally you will have plot sales, residential or conveyancing experience and have a keen interest in this work. What type of practice you gained that experience in is not important, what is key is that you possess demonstrable experience of dealing with conveyancing issues, have excellent communication skills, a positive outlook and the desire to offer outstanding client service. You'll also be able to prioritise your work in order to meet key deadlines, have strong IT skills and have experience of using case management systems.

To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:

  • At least 3 years' experience of dealing with the residential conveyancing.
  • Experience of dealing with conveyancing issues.
  • Demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills and experience of case management systems
