
Our Insurance focus forms a key part of our strategic sector approach and our well established national Insurance Disputes Team have received recognition as a team to watch in the insurance market.
We have an impressive track record in successfully defending complex claims; after all we've been providing specialist advice for over 40 years. The team defend complex professional negligence claims acting for insurers and their policyholders, which include defending lawyers, accountants, architects, insurance brokers, surveyors and investments and pensions professionals. The Team also undertakes D&O/FI work.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Professional Indemnity Lawyer to join the team in London.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
You will ideally have at least 2 years PQE in the defence of professional indemnity disputes with considerable experience in the defence of professional indemnity claims on behalf of Insureds and Insurers.
Ideally, you'll have worked at a large regional or city firm. Experience of insurance policy coverage issues will give your application a distinct advantage. You'll show strong academic ability, a thorough approach to complex legal analysis, with swift assimilation of complicated sets of facts. Your written advice will be fluent and concise, and your high level of commerciality will enable you to address the client's overall objectives. Strong interpersonal skills will give you the ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with the different interests of insurers and insureds and to build strong relationships with clients.
