Our national Real Estate team of over 200 lawyers in the UK has the breadth and depth of experience to assist our clients with their entire real estate cycle. The team services a range of needs and undertakes complex projects for corporate occupiers, developers, housebuilders, investors, fund and asset managers and lenders across all real estate sectors.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Real Estate Knowledge Team and work alongside professionals with in-depth experience and legal knowledge so that you can prepare for the next step in your legal career. This role can be based in Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Plymouth or Southampton.
What will you be doing?
Our Real Estate Knowledge Team consists of 2 professional support lawyers and two paralegals. It is plays a key role in keeping Real Estate up-to-date with the latest legal developments and supporting the adoption of more efficient, digital ways of working so that we can deliver "more for less" for our clients.
The role will cover a variety of work from helping to manage the precedents collection, dealing with a wide-range of queries, delivering induction sessions for new joiners and assisting with the running of the extensive in-house training programme, to providing crucial administrative support. There will be a strong emphasis on promoting and using technology to enable more efficient working including Avail, DocuSign and Search Acumen. You may also be involved in cross-firm IT projects. There's a lot to learn but you'll be well supported and given time to get up to speed with how everything works.
So what are we looking for?
You will have already obtained a law degree or GDL and a LPC/SQE qualification. Previous experience of working in a commercial law firm would be helpful but is by no means essential. What's more important is that you are organised, attentive to detail and self-motivated with strong IT and people skills and lots of initiative. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in legal technology and its potential to improve existing ways of working.
