We have a brand new opportunity to join our esteemed Private Wealth team, working as part of our Tax/Trust & Accounting team as a Trust Accounts Assistant. This role could be based in either our Newcastle or Bristol office.
You will be working independently preparing trust accounts and personal/trust returns. In addition to this you will also assist the wider team with charities and small business accounts and related compliance.
Our Private Wealth team is a collaboration of lawyers, accountants, financial advisers and tax specialists. Their expertise is highly regarded and ensures that our clients' wealth is protected, now and for future generations. For law firms, this is a pretty unique setup which allows us to offer our clients the very best full-service advice possible.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual with experience of accounts preparation, probably from within accountancy practice rather than industry. You'll need knowledge of a range of accounts formats, processes and procedures, working both manually and with relevant systems (especially CCH Trust Accounts). Experience of presenting information in spreadsheet format (Excel) and in written report form (Word) is also required. A professional accounting qualification is not essential but desirable. From the tax perspective, any working knowledge of preparing personal/trust returns would be beneficial, as would a relevant tax qualification.
